The apps are not only consistently set in S/4HANA as the front end, but new components in the classic Business Suite are also delivered with Fiori technology. SAP now provides more than 10,000 standard Fiori apps for business processes free of charge.
THE SAPUI5 FRONT-END TECHNOLOGY
With SAPUI5, the front-end technology used to create Fiori Apps, you can create individual Fiori Apps that are precisely tailored to your processes and user groups. Fiori automatically adapts to your usage scenarios. UI5 relies on established web technologies - you can use the apps responsively on mobile devices as well as on desktops with all operating systems and browsers.
Using open, lean protocols (JSON, OData), non-SAP systems can also be integrated quickly and easily.
THE LAUNCHPAD
Users can access all Fiori applications set up for them via the user-configurable launchpad. However, the Launchpad is not always required to run UI5 applications. The apps can also be integrated into an existing system landscape as a stand-alone solution.
