ESG-Reporting with SAP

ESG stands for Environment, Social, and Governance. It describes the transparent collection, evaluation, and disclosure of company data that shows how responsibly a company acts.

This includes, for example, data on CO2 emissions and resource use. Against the backdrop of European regulations, in particular the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), standardized, audit-proof, and verifiable ESG reporting processes are becoming increasingly important. SAP supports companies in this process with integrated ESG reporting solutions for the preparation of their sustainability reports.

In addition, SAP ESG reporting helps to systematically define specific sustainability goals, measure progress, and continuously monitor goal achievement with the help of KPIs. SAP offers the Green Ledger for this purpose. This works as an extension of financial accounting. In addition to financial transactions, companies can also record and evaluate sustainability and CO₂ data.

This not only provides companies with a solid basis for compliance with regulatory requirements, but also an effective management tool for their sustainable transformation.
