Understand data. Optimize production.
With SAP Digital Manufacturing for Insights, you can analyze and optimize your production processes based on your manufacturing data – in real time and over longer periods.
Your data is automatically prepared and stored in so-called manufacturing data objects (MDOs), making it directly available for analyses and evaluations.
Live Monitoring
Keep an eye on your ongoing production processes at all times.
With the live monitoring functions of SAP Digital Manufacturing for Insights, you can monitor your ongoing production processes in real time and specifically increase efficiency and performance on the shop floor.
The Line Monitor POD accesses current shop floor data that is provided via manufacturing data objects (MDOs). This data comes directly from SAP Digital Manufacturing for Execution and forms the basis for precise analysis of your production.
Operational Analytics
Identify trends and improve production in a targeted way
With apps such as Manage Dashboards and Operational Reports, insights can be gained from production processes, trends can be monitored over longer time series, and different aspects of the production line can be viewed and monitored. This shifts the focus away from individual events and toward the overall picture.
Advanced Analytics
Deeper insights for maximum performance
With the advanced analytics functions of SAP Digital Manufacturing for Insights, you can use preconfigured calculation logic for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to better understand and optimize your processes in terms of productivity and quality. In addition, availability, performance and quality losses, for example, can be differentiated in order to identify the root cause and the main contributors to losses.
The raw data collected by SAP Digital Manufacturing is automatically transformed into and stored as manufacturing data objects (MDOs). These data objects are interconnected and specifically optimized for analytical purposes. Storage takes place in the integrated SAP Digital Manufacturing database for analytics, the so-called manufacturing data layer. This data can then be accessed via various SAP Digital Manufacturing for Insights apps and functions as well as via external APIs.
