SAP is presenting five packages along the digital supply chain. From development to maintenance, these sensibly put together packages contain various solutions in the areas of development, planning, production, logistics and maintenance. Customers who purchase the solutions as packages, as shown, rather than individually, will receive a discount. The optional extensions can be purchased individually if required - as before.
RISE private Cloud with DSC - Extension packages
In the area of Development, SAP has put together a comprehensive package of solutions aimed at development managers, product and project managers and product managers. The package aims to make the definition, development and provision of new products both faster and more effective by linking analyses, processes and employees. Depending on the company's requirements, optional extensions in the areas of Product Compliance, Advanced Variant Configuration and others are available to meet individual needs.
For sales planners, supply chain planners, plant managers and other decision-makers in the Planning/Procurement area, SAP offers a comprehensive solution package that provides them with the basis for well-founded and context-related planning decisions. This package includes the IBP for S&OP planning tool, which enables planners to respond flexibly to changing demand. The use of machine learning, networked processes and improved transparency in sales and production planning creates a level of planning reliability that cannot be achieved with older planning tools such as SAP APO. Current inventories are optimally managed with aATP based on business priorities and defined alternatives. The simultaneous control of production planning with Manufacturing for Planning & Scheduling enables holistic monitoring of the inventory situation. The Control Tower provides an intelligent dashboard with key figures and events for the entire supply chain.
The Production package is aimed at production managers, shift supervisors, plant managers and those responsible for occupational safety. With the Digital Manufacturing (DM) solution, SAP enables agile production that adapts dynamically to short-term planning changes and is also geared towards sustainability and occupational safety. The implementation of Workplace Safety minimizes the risks for production employees, while the EHS Environment Management solution meets environmental protection requirements. In addition, extensions in the areas of resource or product management and EHS compliance are available for mapping special or particularly complex manufacturing processes.
The Logistics package is aimed at logistics managers, warehouse managers, transport planners and transport managers. It enables robust and reliable mapping of logistics processes that are protected against risks. It includes two central solutions that cover most logistics processes. Warehouse management with EWM covers warehouse processes from putaway to picking and goods issue. Punctual delivery and efficient management of freight costs are handled by Transportation Management. Yard Management or Warehouse Robotics can also be integrated with optional extensions.
In Asset Management, SAP offers a package of solutions that are of particular interest to service managers, service planners and those responsible for external and internal maintenance. The package tracks the performance of assets, plans maintenance and service work and maximizes uptime using advanced technologies. With tools such as Field Service Management and Asset Performance Management, plant operators can measure the performance of their plants and optimize maintenance strategies. At the same time, technicians are supported by mobile tools, AI and machine learning to increase predictability, efficiency and utilization in the service area. The asset management package can be expanded to include other solutions such as SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration to enable collaborative work with trading partners on a standardized basis if the company's requirements so require.
When defining the scope of the private cloud, customers decide which of the packages listed are particularly important for their company and receive the corresponding functions with the discounts shown. For example, the company receives a discount of xy % if it wants to use the Logistics package with extended Warehouse Management and Transportation Management. Customers also have the opportunity to purchase the optional solutions at a discount. For example, if Warehouse Robotics is also to be used, the customer receives a price reduction of xy %.
With the new offering, SAP provides its customers with even greater flexibility in the composition of the functional scope along the value chain as well as financial incentives that offer a higher degree of customization. This reaffirms SAP's promise to better support customers in their move to the cloud. With the new initiative, SAP is providing companies with even more targeted support in their transition to S/4HANA Cloud, helping them to benefit from the latest technologies such as AI or sustainability solutions and to consolidate or expand their market position
