In SAP Digital Manufacturing, manufacturing processes describe the end-to-end production workflows on the shop floor – in other words, how products are actually manufactured and controlled. This includes, in particular, the execution of production orders, the operational control and monitoring of work steps, and the real-time integration of materials, personnel and machine usage.
Some highlights of manufacturing processes with SAP DM include the integration of nonconformance process flows for better analysis of materials that, for example, do not meet certain quality standards; efficient production inventory management to track and monitor inventory changes in real time; and EWM integration scenarios.
