With the S/4HAHA Public Cloud, ARX Robotics is paving the way for business growth.
ARX Robotics develops Europe’s leading autonomous mobile robotics solutions as well as a comprehensive digitalization platform for modernizing existing fleets. From advanced autonomous systems to digital connectivity, ARX is shaping the future of mobile operational capability.
Its mission: To strengthen Europe’s technological resilience across all missions by delivering ready-to-use systems and software, thereby safeguarding Europe’s sovereignty and protecting freedom and democracy.
ARX was founded in 2022. As a fast-growing startup, the company initially focused on product development. To meet rising demand and fulfill its desire for expansion and growth, ARX decided to implement S/4HANA. By using the public cloud, ARX is creating internal transparency, reducing manual internal effort, and gaining a scalable solution. This allows the company to focus entirely on its development.
Within the scope of the project was the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public, replacing numerous small standalone systems and Excel spreadsheets with an integrated system featuring fully end-to-end processes, including targeted process optimizations. The goal was to secure all the benefits—particularly with regard to digitalization and automation—through a consistent Clean Core approach, while at the same time making effective use of extensions via the Business Technology Platform (BTP).
As a startup with little ERP experience—particularly with SAP solutions—rapidly expanding organizational structures, and a hybrid system landscape, the initial conditions were challenging. First, the existing data had to be harmonized for the migration, while at the same time a fundamental understanding of how an integrated system works had to be established. The tight project timeline further increased the pressure to implement the solution. Finally, the numerous staff changes typical of startups led to an increased need for training.

Phase two involves the implementation of additional best-practice processes as well as the rollout to additional countries and locations.
