CONSILIO is redefining material supply for the BMW Group with the Connected Supply Chain Cockpit (CSC-Cockpit).
Automobile production is highly complex, and it cannot afford downtime caused by material shortages. To prevent this, materials must always be available in the right quantity, at the right time, and in the right place. The key is to identify potential shortages early and respond quickly.
CONSILIO developed a scalable solution that enables the BMW Group to monitor and manage complex supply chains across all plants with full transparency and real-time insight. The Connected Supply Chain Cockpit (CSC Cockpit) is more than a tool; it acts as the control center for seamless operations. All data is consolidated and clearly displayed in one cockpit, making work faster and easier for users.

Project Environment
The CSC Cockpit was developed alongside the BMW Group’s SAP S/4HANA transformation. As part of this program, CONSILIO also supported:
- the migration of MRP from ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including performance checks for critical ERP processes and optimization of MRP runs,
- the implementation of next-generation SAP JIT-JIS production supply,
- the technical design and architecture of a UI5 application to monitor contract manufacturing processes, including integration with external supplier systems.
Requirements and Challenges
The objective was to make material management more efficient, even with numerous interconnected processes and systems in place.

- Integration of heterogeneous system landscapes, including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
- Cross-plant deployment while maintaining ERP core stability
- Integration of multiple applications and data sources within a scalable, cloud-based architecture.
Using an Azure-based solution and a Kafka-based integration layer, CONSILIO built a stable, globally accessible platform that is both flexible and ready for future demands.

Enables detailed analysis of individual materials, including range calculations, scenario simulations, and graphical event chains. Potential issues can be detected and addressed early. - Track & Trace – Real-Time Delivery Tracking
Monitors shipments worldwide with GPS-based status updates. Users have access to all shipment details, can take corrective action, and actively manage supply chains before disruptions occur.
