Challenge
- Replacement of an in-house developed detailed planning interface with the PP/DS detailed planning board
- Mapping of packaging planning, taking into account short-term fluctuations in component delivery dates
As part of the S/4 implementation, CONSILIO supported the conversion of detailed planning in the finished products area to S/4 PP/DS. The previously manual planning was expanded to include automated steps with optimisation and heuristics.
Project goals
- Adaptation of company processes to the standard SAP software to improve efficiency and process adherence
- Introducing planners to planning in the SAP standard
- Conception and creation of extensive customer-specific heuristics for planning in order to cover all production-related requirements
- Adaptation of the PP/DS detailed planning table to customer-specific requirements for an optimised representation of the planning situation
- Support and controlling of data migration
- Fine-tuning the SAP Optimiser for various planning scenarios
- Design and conception of new innovative planning processes e.g. Production Wheel
