This is what the SAP standard does:
A work center in SAP forms a spatial area within a work system. The work center capacities are maintained directly in the work center. Either one or more capacities can be assigned to the work center: for example, a machine capacity or a person capacity. The so-called available capacities such as working and break times, intervals of available capacity and shifts are also maintained in the master data of the work center and thus form values such as availability of the machine. In the process, all available capacities must be called up individually and edited manually: a tedious task that is prone to errors, especially for longer periods, and requires a great deal of concentration and time.
CONSILIO add-on saves time and simplifies shift maintenance
To simplify shift maintenance and make it more transparent, CONSILIO developed a user-friendly add-on "simplified capacity and shift maintenance" - a tool for mass maintenance. Thanks to the intuitive maintenance concept, the user can perform the following actions:
- Mass maintenance and saving in SAP standard
- Copy shifts
- Jumps to standard transaction (e.g. to work center, capacity or APO)
- Quick activation of shifts and shift programs
- Color coding of holidays and non-working hours
- Maintenance of utilization levels for mapping shift performance and individual capacities for shift planning
- Easy entry of special shifts
The usual standard functionalities are also still possible with the CONSILIO add-on, among others:
- Automatic transfer of capacities into PP/DS
- User-defined shifts and shift programs

Simplified capacity and shift maintenance: this is how it works
The work centers and the planning horizon to be processed are defined in the initial screen. Selection criteria include the plant, work centers, capacity categories, planner groups, periods and others. For a quick start, the individual selection criteria can be saved as a variant.
After execution, the selected workstations and capacities appear in tabular form. Shift maintenance takes place directly in this view. Activation or deactivation is possible by placing a checkmark in the corresponding checkboxes. Values such as shifts, start and end times, utilization rates, individual capacities can either be entered or changed here. A mass modification of the shifts is done by marking the entries to be edited and editing them via one of the buttons in the upper bar. Here each planner can determine in which way he wants to carry out the planning.
Master data and Configuration
The data used in the add-on, such as available capacity, is read directly from the configuration settings using the shift grouping defined in configuration. Here, different shifts as well as shift programs can be defined in the SAP standard, which are applied in the CONSILIO add-on. The master data does not have to be created and maintained in any additional place.
The add-on gives the user the option of jumping directly from the application to master data such as the work center, capacity or directly to APO (PP/DS).

- S/4 with ePP/DS
- ERP with SCM APO PP/DS
- S/4 without PP/DS
- ERP without PP/DS
