S/4HANA Brownfield conversion of the ERP system to S/4HANA
The tool manufacturer decided to convert its current ERP system based on SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA in order to further optimize its digitalization processes and thus strategically expand its competitiveness. The North Rhine-Westphalian company enlisted the support of SAP specialist CONSILIO for this extensive task.
Project Management
The plan was a brownfield approach (technical conversion) with selective optimization from ECC to S/4HANA. Selective because the experts adapted processes that had great potential for optimization and could also be implemented quickly for S/4HANA during the conversion phase in consultation with Rüggeberg. Processes that were more complex to implement in the system were noted by the team for a subsequent optimization phase. Processes that were not included in S/4HANA were redesigned by CONSILIO in order to achieve implementation in the SAP standard.

- Inclusion of an extensive interface landscape
- Conversion of the internal organizational structure (GPO)
- DMO with System Move in near-zero downtime
