Aschheim/Dornach, 03.04.2023 - the SAP implementation at the largest subsidiary of our customer DEHN SE in New Delhi was successfully completed.
DEHN SE is a leading, internationally active family-owned electrical engineering company with around 2,000 employees worldwide, offering innovative products and solutions as well as comprehensive service for surge, lightning and industrial protection.
The protection of plant and building technology, systems for traffic and telecommunications technology and the process industry, or photovoltaic and wind power plants is the focus of DEHN's activities, along with many other areas of application. In addition to over 100 years of experience, the company's steady growth is based above all on the highest quality standards and consistent customer and market orientation worldwide.
On 03.04.2023, the SAP rollout was successfully completed at the largest subsidiary with approximately 120 employees and an annual turnover of one trillion INR in New Delhi, India. The project had a duration of one year and included the implementation of modules SD, WM, MM, QM, FI and CO in R/3. The implementation was carried out by a mixed team of CONSILIO and DEHN consultants.
A template approach was used for the SAP implementation, defining processes for all sites to achieve a standardized and efficient implementation.
At the beginning of the project, the CONSILIO project team conducted on-site fit-gap analyses that identified gaps between the customer's processes and the template. These gaps were presented in on-site prototype demos and gradually refined before being tested, users trained on them, and the processes set live. Many new processes were added to the template, such as consignment stock processing, resource-based billing in the IC process, and subcontracting.
A particular challenge was posed by the Covid restrictions, which at times only allowed project work to be carried out remotely. With the Covid restrictions lifted, project participants again provided onsite support so that integration testing, go-live and the hypercare phase could be performed onsite.
The specific local requirements for e-invoicing, e-waybill and accounting requirements such as fixed asset accounting and others were implemented by the CONSILIO team. The processing of Indian Goods and Service Tax (GST) was implemented by the experienced CONSILIO partner PRIMUS Techsystems Private Limited.
The entire team is proud of the successful go-live and thanks all project participants for their commitment. The smooth start is an important milestone and a great success for the company. The project team is now looking forward to demonstrating its expertise in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is working at full speed to prepare for the next go-live, which is scheduled for summer 2023.
