The replacement of SAP R/3 with SAP ERP was the first step from a dual-circuit system to a single-circuit system. The two previously separate modules Finance and Controlling moved closer together for the first time in SAP ERP. This was noticeable, for example, in Profit Center Accounting, which was still located in Controlling under R/3 and has now moved to FI with ERP. Driven by the new data model, this link between Financial Accounting and Controlling is completed under S/4HANA. Based on a shared transaction data table, a central data pool is created that combines all relevant transactional data from both components. This single source of truth lays the foundation for the close integration of FI and CO and paves the way for your digital transformation.
NEW FUNCTIONALITIES IN S/4HANA
